We're now in the era of myspace, so a page of friends and links
seems almost unecessary. But, anyway, here are just a few of the people, places... that are important to us:
Anti-Social Music
All of Gutbucket have performed as performers and composers in this one-of-a-kind NYC DIY chamber music collective. Bringing punk orchestra to the people!
Cantaloupe Records
Our record label, stateside. They do some great and varied stuff, check them out!
Ethel
It's a blast collaborating with these guys. they're string quartet but so much more. they're all amazing musicians and love to play LOUD which makes for a group that we can play with!
Gena Rowlands Band
AKA Bob Massey. We all play as his backup band on some shows, too.... he good.
Guignol
John Bollinger, Peter Hess, Franz Nicolay, and George Rush star in this messed-up tunes-on-the-fly NYC Balkan band. We've done a few shows with these guys. Don't miss 'em.
Ken's personal site
With some of his other tunes, projects, etc.
Lucibel Crater
Our old drummer Paul Chuffo's new project, a cool band with our old friend Sarth; he's making a kit out of a water jug bass drum, big orange metal bucket, candlestick, and metal grate.
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation
These guys helped us get to Cologne for the Triennale to play with Ethel. An amazing show and wouldn't have been possible without these guys!
Modular Moods
Our friend Erez started up his own label -- he's got big, big plans, and likes a lot of good music, check out what he's up to...
NRW Records
These guys are putting out "Sludge Test" in Germany!
Sibelius Software
Thanks to support from Sibelius. Sibelius 5.0 is a great program for writing music that's been our invisible aid for a lot of our new material, not to mention orchestra pieces and film scores.
Sparkplugs
Philipp drew the girl. Look up and to your left....
Tiny Telephone Studios and Jay Pellicci
The awesome San Francisco Mission-district all-analog playhouse where we recorded and mixed "Sludge Test" - and fantastic
engineer who made it happen.
Todd Reynolds
Fantastic musician, composer. We've collaborated with him for years.
WFMU
Gutbucket's played here live on Irene Trudel's show a few times now. You can check out her playlists or listen to their live feed, which is pretty much guaranteed to be something you've never heard before.
WKCR
Ty, Paul, and Ken have all been DJs here. Some of the best radio on the planet. They broadcast live on the web, too.
World/Inferno Friendship Society
Somehow, Ken's found himself playing in a number of their shows recently.... punk-cabaret? Hear for yourself...
